HEALTH: Kanwan Katsina commends Katsina Government

The Katsina State Government has been commended for various health policies and  programs currently  being implemented in the state.

These programs include immunization campaigns against measles, polio, malaria, and other six child killer diseases, as well as antenatal care services.

The commendation was made by the Kanwan Katrina, Districtheads of Ketare Alh aji Usman Bello Kankara, mini. in a statement signed by his Media Aid, Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina Jamilu Hashimu Gora and made available to newsmen in Katsina.

The Kanwan Katsina disclosed that the health officials  of Kankara Local Government recently paid him an advocacy visit in his palace and discussed the immunization exercise in the Local Government and requested  for his cooperation and assistance for the success of the exercise in Ketare District.

Following this advocacy visit, the Kanwan Katsina  directed all the village and ward heads in Ketare District to commenced a robust campaign to ensure the success of the immunization exercise.

Similarly the District head directed Imams in the district  to enlighten their faithful on the need to ensure success of the ongoing immunization exercise during Friday sermon and five daily prayers.

He urged parents to ensure that their children are properly immunized, emphasizing the importance of routine immunization and antenatal care, particularly for mothers in rural areas.

The statement further explains that people should use mosquito nets distributed effectively in thier homes to prevent malaria, cautioning against the misuse in farmlands.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara expressed satisfaction with the new centers opened in Ketare District for the distribution of nutritious food to combat malnutrition, and  called on the communities to continue supporting government policies and programs for the betterment of their health and wellbeing.
