The commitment of local councils Chairmen in Funtua Senatorial District on the remodeling project of three Clinics in their respective areas has been appreciated the Team of Professional Inspectors that inspected the project for the second round.
The team made this known after visiting the project ssites across the 11 local government areas of the Senatorial District.
Director of Works from Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Umar Farouk Abdullahi who spoke on behalf of the team saying the Chairmen have to exhibit seriousness on the speedy completion of the project.
This according to him will ginger the state government to consider approval for remodeling another three Clinics in each of the 11 local government areas of the District.
The Director also advised few local councils Chairmen in the District that are yet to reach 50% level of commitment to speed up before another round of the inspection of the project.
He said the team observed that 3-4 local government areas are lagging behind in terms of seriousness on the project compared to their counterparts.
He strictly warned them to ensure that the contractors must comply with the Bill of Quantity of the project.
Alhaji Umar Farouk Abdullahi however notified the local council Chairmen that, the Inspection Team will from time to time visit the Project sites to assess the quality, compliance and level of the work done to ensure successful completion of the project.
Some local government councils have already completed the renovation of the Clinic structure, Wall pencing, Provision of Hand Pump, Solar Powered Lights and have started construction of Staff Quarters building, while some are on course.
