Gov. Ahmed Aliyu has received with rude shock the sad news of the passing away of Sheikh Mode Abubakar, one the renowned Islamic scholars in the state and Nigeria in general.
Gov. Aliyu described the death of the popular Islamic cleric as a huge loss not only to his immediate family but the state and the country at large.
According to the governor, late Mode had hugely dedicated his life time for teaching and Islamic propagation(Daawah) across the nooks and crannies of the state and beyond.
“Sheikh Mode will be remembered for his invaluable l contributions towards teaching the true Islamic ideals,” he added.
The governor prayed to the Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased all his mistakes, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
He appealed to the family of the late cleric to unquestionably accept the will of the Almighty Allah and prayed to Him to comfort them in this grieving period.
Until his death, late Mode Abubakar was the Chief Imam of Sultan Muhammadu Maccido Institute for Qur’an and general studies Jumu’at Mosque.
