The 2024 National Uhola Festival of Arts and Culture organised by Zuru emirate in Kebbi State is to hold between 2nd to 4th May 2024.
The Chairman main organizing Committee and Former chief of Army Staff during Abacha regime, Ltd Gen. Ishaya Rizi Bamaiyi disclosed this yesterday at a news conference held in his residence at Rizi Wadtara in Zuru town.
He said the event which was originally organised by the Zuru emirate and supported by the Kebbi State government is today supported and endorsed by the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA)
According to him, the event is also part of Zuru emirate Council’s efforts to unite the people and showcase their cultural heritage.
Bamaiyi noted that the event also based on its cognizance is an avenue where it brings people together, promoting unity amid ethics, religious and social diversities.
The chairman commended the governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and entire of cabinet members for their financial support and allowing the emirate to hold the historical Festival.
Many dignitaries are expected to attend the occasion includes Former chief of Army Staff in President Murtala administration, General TY Danjuma, emirs from different parts of country, governors, politicians among others.
The event according to the programme will featured public lecture and Zuru Auto Rally on Thursday May 2nd, Agricultural show, Archery competition and Gala Night on Friday May 3rd and main Uhola Festival on Saturday May 14th respectively.
