Kebbi strategises to improve IGR

Kebbi State government in collaboration with USAID and other development partners have organised a one-day State 2 State workshop for the improvement of its Internally Generated Revenue IGR in the yearly budget .

At the opening of the workshop,  held at conference hall of the ministry of budget and economic planning at Gwadangaji Secretariat in Birnin Kebbi,  Permanent Secretary ministry for budget and economic planning,  Aishatu M. Usman disclosed that State 2 State workshop is basically about the improvement of health sector delivery through strengthening financial management for better outcomes in the state.

According to her, the strengthening financial management under the health sector will improve financial delivery as well as ensuring transparency and accountability to other sectors.

Usman added that stakeholders such as officials in the ministry of health,  drugs revolving scheme,  KECHEMA, BOI R, Development Partners,  Due Process and CSOs were all at the workshop and strategies on best to come out with modalities on the improvement of IGR in the health sector and other sectors in the state.

She noted that at the end of the meeting,  Kebbi State will have a better transparency in health line and other sectors of the state.
