The stakeholders committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State on Sunday, March 23, met and appraised the party’s performances in the last eight months.
The meeting which held at the National Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State attracted representatives from all the wards in local government.
The aim of the meeting was to appraise the situation of the party in Kafur LG – it’s achievements so far for the last eight months; identify challenges militating against the progress of the party and the LG; and also proffer solutions for the party to progress in delivering on its mandate.
The meeting was attended by prominent elected and appointed personalities from the local government, businessmen which include: Chairman of the Stakeholders Committee, and state Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning, Alhaji Bello Kagara; Senator Muntari Dandutse representing Funtua Senatorial District; Hon Aminu Ibrahim Kafur representing Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency; Hon Shu’aibu Wakili representing Kafur Constituency in the state House of Assembly.
Others are: Chairman Kafur Local Government Council, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi Kanya; Hon Nafiu Lawal Kuringafa, first executive chairman of Kafur LG, Hon Kabir Barau Dankanjiba, former chairman, Malumfashi Local Government Council, Alhaji Sabiu Saidu Mahuta, an Executive Director, A.A. Rano Oil and Gas; and a host of others.

The committee unanimously appreciated the efforts of the Katsina State Government, and gave kudos to Governor Dikko Radda for dealing with insecurity issues in the state.
The committee therefore pledged to continue giving its support and cooperation to the government to deliver on its mandate.
The committee also appreciated the efforts of the critical stakeholders of the party in the local government for giving quality leadership as well as political and economic direction so that Kafur LG cues in, in the political and economic agenda of the APC at the state and federal levels.
It cited in particular the efforts of Hon Shu’aibu Wakili, who, on Saturday March 23, distributed palliative to his constituents to cushion the effects of the economic hardships.
The event was successfully carried out at the Kafur LG Secretariat with beneficiaries pouring encomium on Hon Wakili.
The committee also appreciated the support of Alhaji Sabiu Saidu Mahuta, in assisting individuals, groups and the APC in the local government and beyond.
During the meeting about N7 million was raised from contributions of the critical stakeholders to further support those in attendance at the meeting to continue building the party in the local government.
