There are reports that another fraud of about N17 billion has been uncovered at the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Inclusion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The EFCC officials, who were originally working on the alleged N585 million fraud that led to the suspension of Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, stumbled on unreported fraud cases totaling N17bn.
Reports indicate that the RFCC operatives have also interrogated the suspended minister on the new findings. Recall that what was reportedly linked to the suspended minister was N585 million, now the figure has risen and the investigators are closing in on the matter., sources said.
