The Governor of Katsina State, Dr Dikko Radda will sign the 2024 Katsina today after the Katsina State House of Assembly has approved N454.3 billion for the 2024 fiscal year.
Sources close to Katsina Government hinted kunnengari that the signing of the budget may supercede the weekly state Executive Council meeting or the two events may still hold today
Recall that the House approved the 2024 Appropriation Bill at plenary on Monday in Katsina.
The approval was sequel to unanimous adoption of a report presented by the Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation, Alhaji Lawal Yaro.
The presentation of the report paved the way for the third reading and approval of the appropriation bill.
The speaker Alhaji Nasir Yahaya-Daura then directed the Clerk of the House, to produce a copy of the 2024 Appropriation Law for onward submission to Gov. Dikko Radda for assent.
Recall that Gov Radda presented the budget proposal, tagged “Budget of Your Future,” to the lawmakers for approval on Nov. 8, 2023.
