Sabuwa LGA Assures  Its Communities of More Projects

The Sabuwa Local Government Councils in Katsina State has embarked on multiple projects across the area to uplift the living condition of people across the area.

Chairman Sabuwa Local Government Council Alhaji Faruk Hayatu said the projects being executed through the support of Gov. Dikko administration funding of the LGAs across the state and ensured that the projects became reality.

The Chairman was speaking when Media Team of the State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs visited the area on a Media tour of projects being executed by local councils in Funtua Zone.

Alhaji Faruk Hayatu claimed that without the support of the Governor Dikko Radda and the Commissioner of the relevant Ministry Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, the LGAs could not have the opportunity to undergo such projects.

On insecurity that bedeviled the area, the Chairman said with the establishment of  Community Watch Corps, and equipping  other Security Agencies with Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC), vehicles and other armoury and the commitment put in place, the insecurity is being tackled gradually.

He commended the the State Governor for appointing a committed Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Ministry, as according to him, the Ministry is now coming back to its limelight.

Alhaji Faruk Hayatu reaffirmed his zeal with vigour towards introducing viable programmes and projects that will uplift the living condition of people in the area.

Among the multiple projects undertaken by the local council Chairman, the Media Team led by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry were abled to visit five projects so far.

They include the reconstructed Half Bridge at Inono Village, renovation of one block of two classrooms at ‘Yarkaka Primary School, Completed Construction of 200 Metre long drainage at Tobacco Quarters and another ongoing construction of 200 Metre long drainage at Layin Sabis Quarters all in Sabuwa Town, as well as the construction of about 20 Kilometer long Latrite road from Sabuwa Town to Gamji Village linking to Sabuwa/Dandume Junction road.

Beneficiaries of the projects have respectively regisitheir appreciations over the quality and speedy work of the projects and commended the Chairman of the Local Council, the State Governor and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for showing much concern on their flights.

In the same vain, the Media Team was at Dandume LGA where it visited a renovated Dispensary at Nasarwa which required wall fencing, Beds and beddings, Medical Consultant.

Other projects visited are complete total renovation one block of three classrooms and another block of two classrooms of an Islamiyya School at Unguwar Mamuda Wakili, and a construction work of Toilets and Birthrooms for Jumu’at Mosque in Dandume Town.

Chairman of the LGA Alhaji Basiru Musa revealed that the LGA was allocated N31-32M for major Projects to be executed by his Council.

Alhaji Basiru Musa, who restated commitment to provide more viable projects, uplauded the State Governor for revisiting the flights of the common man in the state.
