Bandits launched an attack on Mahuta Danranko community in Kafur Local Government in Katsina State, Tuesday night killing one person, inflicted injuries to some and whisked away others to unknown destination.
Mahuta Danranko is the headquarters of Daneji district and it was the first time such incident happen in the town.
The victims include Mal Ghaddafi Aliyu Dankoli who was shot and killed while Hamza Umar was abducted.
Reports indicate that the bandits conducted their operations without interference from security agents despite reporting the the case to the police authorities.
Efforts to reach the police for comments were not successful.
Recall that bandits struck in Malumfashi attacking residents in what was described as house to house operation.
They a resident and whisked away a house wife before they were repelled by security operatives.
When contacted for comment on the two incidences, the member representing the Malumfashi/Kafur Fedral Constituency, Hon Aminu Ibtahim Kafur said the situation was worrisome and commiserated with the victims and the entire constituency.
He said the steps being taken by the state and Federal Government will sure bring an end to the insecurity situation in the country.
