Approval has been given by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to change Nigeria’s topflight football league at the 79th NFF Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday.
This was contained in the communique released after the AGA where the Nigeria Professional Football League was changed to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Recall that the NFF had earlier informed the NPL board that only the NFF Congress has the powers to change the name when the newly inaugurated NPL board launched a new logo and new name for the league
