Kaduna Staye Government plans to recruit 7000 young persons to assist in the fight against terrorism in the state. Kaduna State is licated on the North West Nigeria and has been bedevilled .by variety of crises that include banditry, kidnapping ethnic and religious criminalities for about two decades.
Governor Sani stated on Channels Television Monday, saying “coming to Kaduna, I also revived the Kaduna State Vigilance Service
He therefore said his administration has resolved to involve young people in fighting crime as part of efforts to stem the tide.
He announced that the hiring process would soon start, claiming to have supported state police even as a senatorial lawmaker.
The Kaduna state government has announced the downward review tuition costs for state-owned higher education institutions.
He claimed that in order to combat insecurity, “security agencies are lacking the boots,” which made the development even more necessary.
They obviously require the assistance of our neighborhood vigilance service. We currently only have 2, 000, but we are adding 7, 000 to increase that number, the former lawmaker said.
“And I’m glad that the police commissioner, the director of DSS, and even the Kaduna GOC are all working to ensure that our vigilance service receives the proper training. It’s crucial that we train them at the police college.”
He also claimed that the state government is collaborating with other parties, such as religious organizations, to eradicate crime.
He claimed that discussions to fine-tune strategies for taming insecurity are also taking place with northern governors.
