The Federal Government of Nigeria has planned to support about 60 million Nigerians through 12 million families with N8,000 each over a period of six months to lessen the hardships as a result of subsidy removal.
The plan was contained in a letter to the House of Representatives read by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during plenary on Thursday, July 13. Tinubu said the support was to enable poor and vulnerable Nigerians to cope with the cost of meeting basic needs.
