There are reports of plans by Alll Progressives Congress, APC to replace Hon Tajuddeen Abbas with Hon Sani Jaji as the annointed speaker of the House of Representatives.
Leadership Newspaper online this morning reported that as the rumble over the leadership of the National Assembly festers, there are indications of fresh moves to replace Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, with another aspirant as the preferred candidate for the speakership position of the House of Representatives.
It reported a top politician in the APC who spoke to it under condition of anonymity said, “The All Progressives Congress, has replaced Tajudeen Abbas with another candidate and it would unveiled any moment from now. Hon. Sani Jaji, is the one to replace Abbas and he might be unveiled on Thursday or sooner.”
Hon Tajudeen Abbas, from Kaduna State State is the anointed candidate of the APC while Hon. Sani Jaji, from Zamfara State is a member of the aggrieved aspirants popularly known as G-6.
It was also gathered that Abbas and Hon Idris Wase would be offered ministerial slots as a way of appeasing them.
But the move could be to block the chances of Sen Abdulaziz Yari who is aspiring and agitating to become the president of the senate.
