Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir has been appointed as the National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Agency with with Engr. Umar Buba Bindir (Ph.D), as Chairman .
This was sequel to the passage of the National Social Investment Programme (Establishment) Bill, 2023 by the National Assembly and subsequent assent to the Bill by the president, Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the take-off of the National Social Investment Agency and the composition of the board of the Agency
A statement signed and issued by Femi Adesina, former Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity) May 28th, 2023 shows that other members include Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi, Board Member; Abubakar Ladan Zurmi, Member; Nadia Ojochenemi Soso Muhammed, member.
Other members are Obinna Simon, Badom, Aleele Koote, and Aisha Oluwabakola Farooq.
Other members are representatives of Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development; Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning; Federal Ministry of Education; Federal Ministry of Health; Federal Ministry of Justice; Federal Ministry of Women Affairs; and Federal Ministry of Agriculture
The Social Investment Agency is saddled with the responsibility of proper execution and management of the National Social Investment Programme.
