The Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has said he would probe the eight years financial activities of his predecessor, Darius Ishaku.

Gov Kefas stated this while interacting with journalists at government House in Jalingo, Taraba state.

He said he was observing and reading carefully the handover notes from the recent past administration over its financial activities.

The governor said there was no need to set up Judicial Commission of Enquiry to probe the activities, since the State Auditors are already working at the state ministries level.

“We will probe the activities of the recent past administration where is necessary, we shall not hesitate to ask questions, we know there are contacts, we know some were commission.

“We shall look into the projects, government is a continuous process, though we are going to look inward before we commence work on the uncompleted projects that were commission.

There were reports that the former governor Darius Ishaku left a debt of not less than N200 billion which was inherited by the Kefas’s administration. About 92 percent of the projects commission by the recent past governor in the state were uncompleted
