The Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency, KADSEMA Standing Committee on Flood Assessment, comprising stakeholders from across MDAs, Security Agencies and Donors held its 2nd flood preparedness meeting and field / sensitization visit to Romi community in Chikun LGA under the leadership of the Executive Secretary,,M uhammed Mu’azu Mukaddas.
Mukadfas said SEMA is geared towards working closely with the five risk Local Government Areas – Sanga, Kaura, Jama’a, Kagarko and Jaba as identified by NiMet’s 2023 seasonal climate prediction – SCP.
Other communities around river axis dwelling in low lands, susceptible to flooding have also been placed on alert and advised to vacate the environment as soon as the down pours become immense, to forestall loss of lives.
