Gombe APC suspends senator, member House of Reps

The All Progressives Congress, APC in Gombe State has suspended Sen Amos Bulus, for anti party activities. Also suspended was  Hon. Yunusa Abubakar, the member representing Yamaltu/Deba federal constituency

A statement issued by the state publicity secretary, Moses Kyari, said the lawmakers were suspended following alleged anti-party activities which were contained in a petition written against them by the executives of the party in their respective wards.

Moses disclosed that Senator Amos was suspended for anti-party activities at the just concluded General Elections. He said, “This came about as a result of a petition written from his ward which caused a five-man committee of the ward to investigate and get to the root of the matter, about two weeks ago”.

“The committee invited the Senator who could not defend himself from the allegations hence the committee recommended his suspension and eventual expulsion from the party,” Moses stated.

While explaining that the move to suspend the senator was decided by the executives of the party in the Bambam ward of Balanga Local Government Areas (LGA), Moses said, “The order of suspension takes effect from today Saturday 08 April 2023”.

Speaking on the suspension of the member representing the Yamaltu/Deba federal constituency, Moses explained that Yunusa was also suspended following his involvement in anti-party activities.

He said, “This came about as a result of the outcome of a disciplinary committee which found him guilty of anti-party activities at the just concluded General Elections. His suspension takes effect from today Saturday 08 April 2023”.

Moses assured that the suspension of both lawmakers has been ratified by the state executive council of the party
