The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has issued certificates of return to declared winners if the March 18 governorship and state house of assembly elections in Kaduna State.
This has put to rest the rumours that the Kaduna State Governir- elect nay not be issued a certificate of return
Sen Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress, APC was the declared winner of the gubernatorial election and was issued the certificate of return by the INEC Kaduna Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Auwal Mohammad Mashi at the Kaduna State INEC office.
Other declared winners who emerged from different pollitical parties, but especially the ALL Progressives Congress, APC and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP were also issued certificates of return at the ceremony.
Twenty nine members of the state house if assembly members- elect were issued certificates. off return while five have not been declared
Speaking shortly after receiving his certificate, the governor – elect called on all the political parties to join hands with him and his team to make the state work.
According to him, he will operate an open door policy devoid of tribal and religious affiliation. He will carry everybody along, he emphasized.
Governor-elect Uba Sani while appreciating his supporters and the good people of Kaduna state at Yar’adua hall, Murtala Square promised to work conscientiously to keep the state going.
He thanked everyone for their support throughout the process saying, he is ready to work with everyone.
He thanked INEC and security agents for its patience perseverance and for maintaining peace and order throughout the election.
