The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has announced the appointment Umar Damagum as acting chairman following the suspension of the embattled Iyorchia Ayu pending the outcome of the litigation against him
The announcement was made by National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party’s secretariat.
Ayu, who’s been walking a tightrope since the conclusion of the party’s presidential primary that saw Alhaji Atiku Abubakar clinched the ticket last year, was suspended on Sunday by his ward in Gboko, Benue state.
