The Katsina based business mogul, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal has visited and congratulated the Katsina State Governor – elect, Dr Dikko Umar Radda over his declaration as winner of the Katsina State governorship election held on March 18.
Alh Mangal visited Dr Dikko Radda at his Batagarawa residence in Batagarawa Local Government on Tuesday and wished him successful tenure and prayed to Allah to give him more wisdom and courage to lead Katsina State to greater heights.
In his remarks, the governor – elect, Dr Dikko Radda thanked Alh Mangal for the solidarity visit and called on the business mogul and other Katsina people to join him in making the state to grow and develop.
Recall that there were insinuations in some quarters that Alhaji Barau Mangal withdrew his support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, after its gubernatorial primaries which produced Dr Dikko Umar Radda against Alhaji Abbas Masanawa, his preferred choice
Alh Dahiru Mangal was alleged to have given tacit support to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP during the presidential and National Assembly elections held Feb 25.
There are still feelings in some circles that his support for PDP was responsible for victory the PDP has recorded in the Feb 25 elections.
But just a few days to the governorship election, it was reported that Alh. Mangal U- turned into the APC, especially considering the jingles placed by his politically ally, Alh Abbas Masanawa, calling his supporters to vote for APC candidates during yhe March 28 elections.
