Four dead as Gov el- RuñA clash between some members of the shi’ite group and security operatives attached to the convoy of Kaduna State Governor Nasir el- rufa’ i has left four persons dead in Bakin Ruwa area in Igabi Kocal Government of Kaduna State
There were reports that the security operatives came in contact with the Shi’ites members as they were performing their weekly procession at Bakin Ruwa along Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway at around 4:15 pm when the governor was visiting the community. It was said that some of the Shi’ite members started to raise their voices at the convoy as they tried to pass through the procession. The shouting led to confusion as the security operatives opened fire at the youth while some of the youths threw stones at them.
Four persons were killed in the incident but the Shi’ite representative in the state, Abdullahi Usman, revealed that non of the victims were his members. Saying those that were killed are commercial drivers at a bus stop near where the incident happened.
