Kaduna has become a rumour mill regarding the Mach 11 gubernatorial contest amongst three political parties, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Labour Party, LP.
Rumours making the round are that the Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party, Jonathan Asake, was approached by PDP and was urged to step down for the candidate of PDP. It was also alleged that APC offered to pay Asake N100 million to remain in the race.
But reacting to all these rumors, Jonathan Asake has now come out to state that he did not receive any money from the All Progressives Congress in order to remain in the governorship election race in Kaduna State.
Jonathan Asake went on to say that he was never in any meeting with the APC where such an offer was made to him. He wondered why anybody will think that he will collect money from a political party he is working hard to take power from.
According to Jonathan Asake, he will not receive any money from any political party in order to step down or to remain in the race. He further stressed that he got to hear about the rumors from the radio station just like everyone else did
