PMB commends Gov Ganduje over infrastructure

The provision of infrastructure for the development of Kano State by The government of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been commended by President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari made the recommendation Monday, during a special Presidential Lunch organised in his honour by the State Government at the Government House, Kano.

Some of the projects that attract the commendation are the Underpass bridges and roads provided by the Ganduje administration which he said were facilitating the free flow of traffic in the state.

He also commended Governor Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State for his performance in infrastructure, including roads and overhead bridges.

He said that the roads and bridges provided by Governor EI-Rufa’i and Governor Ganduje were facilitating the smooth flow of traffic in and between the two states and the neighboring states.

Governor Ganduje thanked the president for what he had been doing for the development of Kano such as the ongoing Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano, AKK, gas pipeline project, the ongoing Kaduna-Kano-Katsina-Maradi, Niger republic railway project, and the Kano-Dutse railway project.

He said by executing these projects,the president was making Kano the commercial nerve centre of Northern states, as well as the commercial nerve centre of some West African States.

He also thanked the president for coming to the state to commission projects executed by the federal and State Governments.

Such projects, Ganduje said included the Cancer Treatment Centre at Muhammadu Buhari Specialist Hospital, Giginyu; Muhammadu Buhari Road Interchange at NNPC Station, along Maiduguri Road; Aliko Dangote Ultra-Modern Skills Acquisition Centre, Zaria Road, and a Federal Government Housing Units project at Gandun Sarki, Darmanawa.

Part of the lunch was also presentations by some Ministers on the Federal projects commissioned by the president during the visit, such as the 10-megawatt federal government, Kano Grid Solar Power, the multi-billion Naira Dala Inland Dry Port in Zawachiki, Kumbotso local government area, and the 4 Tier Data Centre and office complex at Galaxy Backbone Limited Project at Ahmadu Bello Way.

The Ministers included Prof.Isa Ali Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed and the Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu.
