President Muhammadu Buhari Nigeria has been described as an honest man surrounded by corrupt people, the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has said.
The Benue State Governor in an interview with Vanguard newspaper has lamented that he has not seen President Muhammadu Buhari for four years
Gov Ortom said his comments about the security situation in Benue State made him to be labelled as a bad man by the presidency, and added that he was only speaking up on behalf of his people, and that if his people tell him not to speak up again, he would stop.
He said that his state has been denied a lot of things, and that nothing comes to Benue again from the federal government.
“I have not seen the President for four years, they have blocked me and I said fine, let me stay and do my work because I was not elected by the presidency. I have been denied a lot of things that would have come to Benue state, nothing comes here.”
Gov Ortom said that he stands for equity, fairness and justice, and that he is doing the wish of his people.
