From Lawal Gwanda: The Director General Katsina State PDP Campaign Council Dr. Mustapha Inuwa has reacted to the earlier endorsment APC Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Dikko Umar Radda by the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.
Dr. Mustapha Inuwa while answering questions from newsmen at a news briefing on Friday in Katsina stated that the endorsement was a personal view of the Emir but not the views of the entire Emirate.
According to the DG, the Emir’s endorsement should not be regarded as a threat to PDP.
The Campaign DG claimed that even now INEC places a ballot box at the premises of the Emirate Council, Lado would defeat Dikko.
Dr. Mustapha claimed that PDP will therefore loose only Emir’s vote but not that of others close to him or those within Kofar Soro axis.
Mustapha Inuwa pointed out that Lado of PDP is the only credible candidate to beat in the 2023 Gubernatorial election compared to others in the state.
It could be recall that the Emir of Katsina Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman endorsed the candidature of Dr. Dikko Umar Radda of the APC when the APC Campaign Train paid him homage at his palace.
With the reaction of the former Secretary to the government of the state, some political analysts in the state accused Mustapha Inuwa of derailing.
