The convoy of former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim was attacked by unknown gunmen killing four of his security personnel, Monday.
The incident happened at Oriagu in the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state on Monday evening.
But reports say Ohakim escaped by the whiskers while his backup vehicle was bombed, leading to the death of the four policemen in his convoy.
It was gathered that Ohakim was returning from a visit when the gunmen struck but the brevity of the driver of the ex-governor for him to escape.
Mr. Ohakimm was the main target but his driver was smart enough to beat them because they were driving to block him.
A source disclosed; “Disappointed that their main target had escaped, they blocked his backup vehicle and burnt it with the four policemen.
