2023: APC can’t win Katsina  – Babangida Talau

977

The possibility of the All Progressive Congress, APC flagbearer Bola Asiwaju Tinubu  winning Katsina State with bloc votes has been dismissed by the member of the House of Representatives, Babangida Ibrahim representing the Malumfashi/Kafur Federal Constituency.

Honourable Babangida Ibrahim defected from APC to New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) after losing his bid to secure nomination to contest the position in a primary election he came third.

But blame his failure on corruption during the party’s primary elections which lead mass defection from the party. Hence, it would be extremely difficult for the All Progressive Congress to win, he said.

In his words: “Let me be very honest with you; when you are doing political analysis, you have to be very objective. I come from Katsina State and you know that Katsina State is the state of Mr President. Katsina State has been APC all along until during the primaries when the party could not manage itself; when due process was not followed and there was a lot of dissatisfaction by the majority of members within my state. That was the reason why most of us pulled out of the party. I can assure you, I don’t want to exaggerate, but the APC is coming third in Katsina, struggling to meet up.”
