The Tinubu/Shetima presidential ticket received a boost as youth group under the auspicious of the Northern Christian Youth Professionals for Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Thursday said it has the mandate to deliver the ticket in the February 25 presidential election.
Secretary of the youth group, Oyewole Olaoluwa told journalists during the flag off campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yauri that youths from the 19 northern states have come together to support Tinubu’s presidency because they believe in his capacity and ability to deliver on his promises to Nigerians.
“Tinubu has done it before in Lagos, he could still do it for Nigeria. That’s why we want Nigerians to vote him come February 25, 2023. We are expecting a better future for Nigeria under Tinubu. And an economy where everyone’s life, welfare is quaranteed”.
Olaoluwa said based on Tinubu’s track records, the group in it’s engagement with other youths in the country have assured them that they would vote Tinubu /Shetima in the 2023 presidential election.
“We expect his emergence as the next president of Nigeria come February 25th, 2023”, Olaoluwa said.
The secretary flanked by the group’s state coordinator, Simon Yusuf, Women leader, Hassana Hassan and Aliu Valentine, media coordinator said when the issue of Muslim, Muslim ticket arose they decided to support Tinubu/Shetima’s ticket because they could see beyond the issue. “We see Tinubu as a man who could solve the problems of this country”.
He said “We see his emergence as APC’s presidential candidate good for the development of Youths in Nigeria. We want to ensure that youths of the country come together, look beyond issue of religion and vote Tinubu /Shetima as president”.
Secretary of the Northern Christian Youths added that they are supporting Tinubu/ Shetima’s ticket because they expected transformational change that would build capacity, guaranteed employment opportunities, security and economic welfare for Nigerians.
