Clergy urges govt to focus on protecting lives, properties

The Nigerian Government have been urged to focus on its primary responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the its citizens.

 Julius Kundui, the Catholic Bishop of the Kafanchan dioces has said this during the funeral service of 40 persons that were killed recently in Malagum 1 and Sokon villages in Kagoro Community Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

Some of the victims said they have been neglected by the government and called on the international community to come to their rescue.

The victims said that they lost 29 motorcycles, and two cars and 164 houses adding that in less than two years the area had lost over 80 persons in Kagoro and Madamaia communities.
