The SMEDAN End of Year Party was held today amidst pomp and pageantry with awards of Excellence bestowed on the incumbent Director General, Asiwaju Olawale Fasanya and his predecessor and Katsina State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dikko Umaru Radda Ph.D., in Abuja.
Mr. Asiwaju Wale Fasanya, thanked the organizers of the event and paid glowing tributes to Dr. Dikko Radda for his immense contributions to the development and growth of the agency.
He informed the Ex SMEDAN Boss that a lot has been achieved in the area of project implementation culminating in the movement of the Agency to its permanent site in Idu, a project conceptualized by the former DG. He however wished Radda luck in his aspiration and prayed to be at his inauguration next year.
Responding, Dr. Dikko Radda was full of praises to the staff of the agency who have since his voyage into politics been identifying with him. He congratulated the SMEDAN staff for having a technocrat as their DG. “You should count yourself lucky to have Fasanya as your boss, I feel relaxed and assured that he will consolidate what we have achieved even though we worked together.”
He went down to spill out his experiences in the political space and prayed to God to help him achieve his goal.
He was later presented with his plaque of honor by Asiwaju Wale Fasanya while he in turn presented a plaque to Asiwaju Wale Fasanya .
Principal staff officers of the Agency one after the other said one or two things about the former DG.
