A 20-year-old Gabriel Orupou has been sentenced to two years in prison after found guilty of destroying a campaign billboard belonging to the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar along Zaramaganda in Jos South Local Government of Plateau State, North Central Nigeria, Monday.

Orupou was arraigned for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy and mischief, contrary to sections 59 and 313 of the Plateau State Penal Code Law.
He (Orupou) was sued before the court alongside three others who are still at large.
The sentencing of Orupou followed his conviction by the court on Friday last week after he pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him by the police through the prosecutor, Martina Bitrus.
When the case was called on Monday, the convict pleaded for mercy, adding that he had been hired and paid N2,000 by Musa, Bash and Danlami who were still at large
