By Isah Miqdad: The 2023 APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has concluded his tour of the electioneering campaign in the 128 wards of the 12 local government areas of Daura zone of the state.
Dr. Radda was accompanied during the tour by his deputy, Hon. Faruk Jobe, Director General Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly, APC state chairman, members of the state executive council and legislatures, members of the campaign council, friends, family, and well-wishers.
The campaign which was flagged up on Monday, 5th of December 2022, at the Faskari local Government area started a ward-to-ward tour from Baure ward in Baure local Government area and rounded up at Rimaye ward in Kankia Local Government Area on Sunday, 18th December 2022.
This brought to a total number of 128 wards visited in the 12 local Government areas of Daura Senatorial District of the State.
The campaign team has consulted with traditional rulers, religious leaders, community leaders, clubs and associations, support groups party faithful, and all other relevant stakeholders from the 128 wards to solicit their support ahead of the 2023 general elections.
At all the places visited, Dr. Radda was received by a mammoth crowd displaying posters of the APC Gubernatorial Candidate amidst cheers and singing and dance cheering “sai kayi” “sai Dikko Radda”. Dr. Radda assured the good people of the Daura Senatorial zone of his intentions of turning around for good the fortunes of the state.
He assured to improve the security of lives and properties, boast the local economy and SMEs, education, health, and other social infrastructure.
The APC Gubernatorial Candidate Charged the people of the area to vote for APC candidates at all levels for more dividends of democracy. At all the wards visited, relevant stakeholders commended the commitment of the Gubernatorial Candidate and assured them to vote for him come 2023.
Some community leaders attest to the fact that no any Gubernatorial candidate has ever visited their area seeking their support while some explained that since 1999, no other candidate has ever visited their area seeking their support as such Dikko Radda is their most preferred choice.
Special recognition goes to the Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon Faruk Lawal Jobe, Rt. Hon. Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly, Daura Zone Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Nasiru Sani Zango, Directors General of the Campaign Team, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, Deputy Directors, Hon. Jabiru Tsauri, Rt. Hon. Yau Umara Gwajo-Gwajo, Musa Adamu Funtua, Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, All 12 Local Government Chairmen from Daura Zone, Directors of Campaign Council, All APC Candidates, Gwagware Media Reporters, Dikko Support Group, security details, support groups, clubs, and associations and all others who contributed and support and whose tireless efforts and support cannot go unnoticed for the success of the campaign.
The campaign jet will take a break of 7 days from 19-25th of December before it flies again on the ward-to-ward tour in the Katsina Central Senatorial zone, starting with Kaita on Monday, 26th December 2022.
