The Taraba State Labour Party chairman, Easter Gulmu, has denied collecting N20million from the party’s National Secretariat to mobilise supporters during the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign rally in the State

Madam Easter admitted collecting the sum of N9 million from the  N17million that was said to had been given to the State ahead of the campaign, but the campaign Organising Committee only gave her N9million. She further disclosed that since the conclusion of the rally, her life has been under heavy threat.
Recall that after the Labour Party presidential campaign in Taraba State on Wednesday, Mrs Easter Gulmu had been under heavy pressure and criticisms after the party’s youth leader, Mr Thomson, alleged via his official Facebook page that she collected the sum of N20million from the National Secretariat but failed to mobilise supporters for the rally.
However, Mrs Easter Gulmu during an emergency executive meeting  one of the officials of the party’s National Secretariat admitted that only N9million was given to the Chairperson.

But the youth leader, Mr Thomson, was not fully satisfied, as he demanded the breakdown of how the N9million was spent
