The Executive Director, Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki has urged the Staff of the board to avoid laxity and be proactive to ensure more successes in future Hajj operations
Alhaji kuki was speaking in a joint management and zonal officers and assistants meeting at the board’s corporate headquarters in katsina.
The Executive Director said the Objective of the meeting was to review the performance of the 2022 Hajj operation and discuss the preparations for the 2023 Hajj exercise respectively.
Alhaji suleiman Nuhu Kuki appreciated the efforts of all the staff and other stakeholders on Hajj operation in the state for being supportive to the board, adding that without their efforts and that of the board they wouldn’t have achieved the successes recorded during the 2022. He informed the meeting that the Hajj 2022 was a huge success, as a result of which the board was presented with six Awards of Excellence from three different organisations.
The awards according to him include the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria,Independent Hajj Reporters and Keystone Bank Plc.
The Executive Director said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria presented two awards of Excellence to the board in recognition of outstanding performance in enlightenment programmes monitoring during the hajj 2022 and the second award was in recognition of outstanding performance in constitution of state’s Committees.
While the Independent Hajj Reporters presented three medals to the state which include the best governor on pilgrims welfare from 2015 to 2022 and the award was received by the governor of the state Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari,and the second and the third was given to the board as the best in
accommodation in Makkah during the 2022 hajj and the third is the best organized state pilgrims board during hajj 2022 respectively.
The award from Keystone Bank Plc is in recognition of the board’s successful Hajj operations during the 2022 Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Katsina State Rt.Hon.Aminu Bello Masari for his concerns on the welfare of Katsina State pilgrims.
He also commended the Management, Zonal officers and assistants for their support in Hajj 2022, urging them to redouble their efforts as Hajj 2023 may come with more challenges.
