The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom, has ate his words saying the comment credited to him that he would not support any Fulani man to become Nigeria’s president as people interpreted. He
said he was sorry for the comment and that he did not mean to offend anybody while making the statement
Governor Ortom recently said he would not support any person from the Fulani tribe to become Nigeria president while reacting to the killings going on in the state and to impress his new political Godfather, Gov Wike and his entourage while on a visit to Benue State.
While in Bauchi on a visit to Gov Bala Mohammed, Gov Samuel Ortom apologised to Nigerians over the comment that he will not support any Fulani man to become Nigeria’s next president.
The governor apologised while answering questions from Journalists on Wednesday, November 9, when he and other G-5 governors met with Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed another Fulani The remark did not go down well with many Nigerians.
