The Abdulsalam Abubakar General Hospital, Gulu, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State has been attacked, two persons killed and ten abducted. The abductees include a doctor and a nurse on duty.
One of the killed persons was a neighbour to the hospital known as Ya- Tachi. The indent happened around 2.00 AM Tuesday.
The gunmen stormed the hospital, shooting sporadically during their operation without any resirence from security personnel and the local vigilantes from the area.
It is the fourth time kidnappers have attacked different communities within the area in recent times.
The incident has further heightened tension among the villagers, particularly with lack of presence of both security agents and local vigilantes during the attack.
