The contract offered to Government Oweizide Ekpemukpolo AKA Tompolo has begun yielding results as he was reported have succeeded in recovering another large quantiity of stolen crude oil
News reports indicate that the ex militant and his men were able to successfully intercept and seize a huge ship loaded with stolen crude oil. It was also reported that the crew tried to bribe him with N25 million Naira and promised to pay him in dollars. Below are pictures of the seized ships.
Tompolo and his men were able to locate and capture the ship after they received a tip off. Eight persons, who were aboard the ship were arrested. They were caught and arrested while stealing crude oil from the Escravos Pipeline in Warri South West LGA, Delta state.
The quantity of crude oil that was stolen by the ship has also not yet been confirmed.
This was after Tompolo had discovered a total of 58 illegal tapping points and pipelines used crude oil thieves in Delta and Bayelsa States.
