Fadason, veteran journalist, turbaned Galadiman Gbagyi

The Esu Chikun, SA-Gbagyi II, HRH Mr. Ishaku Yari has turbaned Mr Andrew Fadason as new Galadiman Gbagyi,in his palace, Saturday. Gbagyi Chiefdom is in Kaduna State.
The new Galadiman Gbagyi is a veteran journalist and former chairman of the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ. He worked at the famous New Nigerian Newspapers Kaduna.
While conferring the title on Mr  Andrew Fadason  the Esu Chikun said the conferment was in recognition of Mr Andrew Fadason’s contribution to the development of the people of Gbagyi Chiefdom. He tasked the new Galadiman Gbagyi, to follow the footsteps of his late father, Mr. Aboki Abiyi Fadason.
Mr. Aboki Abiyi was the longest serving District Head in Gbagyi Chiefdom, and turbaned Dokaji Zazzau on March 8, 1979 before he was elevated to Galadiman Gbagyi after the creation of Gbagyi Chiefdom.
Speaking to the media shortly after the conferment, the Galadiman Gbagyi said his new title as Galadiman Gbagyi is exciting, but not completely new to him since he has been in the system.
He, however, thanked God for the opportunity to serve his people and hoped to do his very best.
On the development to expect in his Chiefdom, the Galadiman Gbagyi, said he is going to redouble his efforts to ensure the Chiefdom moves forward.
He added that infrastructural development and security are very important, but “we will not shy away from the cultural aspect. We will promote the Gbagyi culture.
The Galadiman Gbagyi is one of the officers of the Chiefdom, who is supposed to be the closest to the Esu Chikun because at most occasion, he might be the one to represent him. So the Galadiman Gbagyi has to be conversant with the day-to-day running of the affairs of the Chiefdom.
