APC Gubernatorial candidate for 2023 General Elections for Sokoto State, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu has charged security operatives and the Independent Ell national Electoral Commission to ensure a level playing field for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto made the charge when he received hundreds of members of the Sokoto Amalgamated Traders who visited him on a solidarity visit.
The traders pledged to support the APC and his candidature in the state for the forthcoming elections.
Ahmad Aliyu said he was optimistic that APC will emerge victorious in the state. expressing satisfaction on the multitude of people seen that marched for the solidarity visit,.
He explained that, if given the mandate and elected as Governor of the state he will ensure the welfare of Sokoto state traders.
The PDP-led government in the state has failed in boosting all business activities, creating youth empowerment, improving agricultural development, enhancing educational development, and uplifting the welfare of the state civil service, among many other sectors in the state, he said.
He said that all the sectors have been grounded and pledged to reinvigorate them for proper human capital development.
The procession of about eighty associations was colourful and an indication of success to APC.in the state.
He pledged to follow the footsteps of the former Governor of Sokoto state, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko towards ensuring the provision of social amenities and infrastructural development in the state.
Spokesperson of the associations, Alhaji Bello Mai Jama’a intimated the APC governorship candidate that the procession was done just as a mark of respect and to felicitate with the leadership of the party and to express their support to him as APC Gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto.
He added that they are ready to mobilise more supporters in the state to secure victory for APC in the state.
Other speakers who spoke during the occasion included Alhaji Kabiru Mai Tandu, Alu Maigoro, Alhaji Abba Gidan Bala Fari, Alhaji Bello Danda Mai Lemu and Danayalo Bello.
They all recalled the giant strides of the former Governor of the state, Sen.Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko during his stewardship where business activities in the state were accorded top priority.
