The executive governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike is more likely to join the All Arogressives Congress, APC he decide to leave the People’s Democratic PTarty.
This was the observation Mahmud Jega, a Nigerian political analyst and veteran journalist.
Jega made the observation and analysis responding to questions on Peter Obi’s visit to the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike. According to Jega, Wike is likely to go to the APC because he is not an adventurist.
Mahmud Jega stressed that Nyesom Wike is more of a mainstream politician who is likely to prefer either to remain in the People’s Democratic Party or go to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Recall that Wike is having running battles with the PDP leadership most especially after the presidential primary election of the party.
He has been agitating for the resignation of Ayochia Ayu, the national chairman of the PDP over which his group pulled out of Presidential Campaign Council of the party.
