APC guber candidate, Sen Uba Sani escapes attack, DG campaign survives

The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani escaped an attack that left some members of his convoy injured and others abducted.

Those abducted include the APC candidate for the Kaduna State House of Assembly and the APC chairman of Kajuru Local Government.

The incident happened at Tashar Icce some few meters from Kujama. Thursday.

The convoy was returning from Kafanchan after a political engagement with a Christian group, Pastors Congress, organized by Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SCKLA). Sen. Uba Sani was, however, not on the convoy as he was reported ta have routed to Abuja from Kafanchan.

Media reports indicate that the convoy ran into a bloked and the gunmen immediate begun shooting spprodically, injuring some members of the convoy. Five vehicles were affected the ataack.

The meeting was organized to engage the governorship candidates of the various political parties for Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State. SCKLA chairman, Apostle Emmanuel Kure said the plans the candidates have for zone will enable the market to their congregations.

It is ‘an opportunity to meet the candidates and ask questions that will decide our future. It is meant to keep our voices as one, unite us before and after the elections and ensure a peaceful transition,’ Apostle Emmanuel has said.

Candidates that took turns to brief the occasion on their various packages for the zone and Kaduna State if voted into office included  Sen Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress; Sen Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi of New Nigeria Peoples Party and Jonathan Asake of Labour Party. Others are Timothy Adamu of Action Alliance and Andrew Duya of APGA
