A notorious bandit kingpin terrorising Zamfara state, Belli Turji has finally repented and embraced peace.
The deputy governor of Zamfara State, Senator Hassan Nasiha, has revealed during a security conference in Gasau, the capital city of Zamfara State, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
The deputy governor said Zamfara has enjoyed relative peace in recent times because Turji Bello decided to shun banditry.
According to the deputy governor, for the past five weeks, there has not been a clash between the Fulanis and Hausas in Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi, and Zurmi Local Government Areas of the State as a result of the dialogue to broker peace between the two warring factions in the State.
Nasiha added that the former bandit kingpin is also helping the government track down the terrorists disturbing the peace of the state.
