The lawmaker from Zamfara State, representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in House if Representatives, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu has distributed over 600 motorcycles and 50 cars to stakeholders and youth in the constituency to alleviate poverty among constituents.
This was disclosed by Hon. Zubairu at the weekend during the flag- off of distribution of palliatives to constituents held in Bungudu town, the headquarters of Bungudu local government.
He said the gesture was in line with fulfillment of his campaign promises to constituents.
He added that the motorcycles distributed to youth was part of his plan to engage them to become self reliant.
Hon. Zubairu stated that 400 women were trained and they graduated in different skills under his women empowerment programs in Ruwan Doruwa ward for them to have means of livelihood.
On water supply, Abdulmalik Zubairu stated that a total of 45 boreholes were sunk in 21 wards of his constituency within 100 days in office to various communities.
He donated the sum of N500, 000 to the family of late Hamisu Danjibga, correspondent of Voice of Nigeria (VON) who was gruesomely killed at his residence in Gusau last Sunday.
