In what looks like working the talk regarding emphasis on developing rural areas in Kaduna State, Governir Uba Sani has begun delivering on his political promise of rural development.
The governor has flagged off the construction of 25 kilometres Rigachikun – Tami – Birnin Yero rural road in Igabi local government area.
He said the road, when completed, would facilitate movement of agricultural products from rural communities to urban areas, while adding that in the next few days, he would embark on the ground breaking for the construction of 31 other roads within rural communities of all the local governments.
The governor has also flagged off the construction of 62 junior and senior secondary schools.
While laying the foundation for the construction of a senior secondary school in Nasarawa Rigachikun, Igabi local government area, Gov Uba Sani said the ground-breaking event signalled the commencement of the construction of 62 such schools across the state to ensure that “every child goes to school.”
Gov Uba Sani said under the infrastructure renewal programme of his administration for the schools, classrooms, laboratories, administrative blocks, multi-purpose halls and toilets would be constructed. because of the high premium his administration places on education, saying his government would continue to accord priority in that regard.
