Chapters of Katsina Teachers College (KTC) Old Boys Associations have agreed to establish National Alumni for rapid development of the College.
This was discussed at an integrated meeting of the Chapters convened by the officials of the Class of 1979 Old Boys held on Saturday at the Dr. Shehu Idris Assembly Hall of the College
To that effect, an Interim Steering Committee comprising two nominated members of year groups led by Alhaji Kabir Lawal Rumah to be supervised by a composition of two elders comprising Alhaji Yahaya Lawal Rafin Dadi, Malam Haruna Dalhatu, Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi and Alhaji Bello Kagara respectively

In a remark, the Chairman of the occasion Alhaji Yahaya Lawal Rafin Dadi stressed the importance of education by charging the participants to put more actions in assisting their Alma Mata.
Alhaji Yahaya Lawal who is also an old boy of the College in 1964 urged Parents Teachers Association’s PTA to ensure reciprocating government efforts by contributing much in the development of education in the state.

In an address of welcome, the Patton of Class of 1979 KTC Old Boys Association Malam Haruna Dalhatu expressed appreciation and narrated his experience as a teacher at the College and his relationship with 1979 set of the College to date which motivated him to be part of them and finally decided to be an old member of the College.
The Principal of the Senior Sections of the College Alhaji Rabe Mudi spoke on the successes, challenges and the way forward for the College.
Others who spoke at the event include former Commissioner of Education, Professor Badamasi Lawal Charanchi, a Director in the Universal Basic Education Commission Alhaji Bello Husaini Kagara and the representative of the State Ministry of Education Alhaji Ya’u Jibrin among others.
Highlight of the event include progress of activities of year groups.
