As he has taken oath of office as Governor of Katsina State, Gov Dikko Umar Radda has pledge to run a transparent government that will serve the people of the state with the fear of God.
The Governor was sworn-in alongside his Deputy, Alhaji Faruk Jobe by the Chief Judge of Katsina State, Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
Shortly after his inauguration parade, the newly sworn-in Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, promised to hit the ground running with the implementation of a strategic development policy which seeks to transform all sectors of the state’s economy, particularly education, healthcare, agriculture, land administration and revenue generation, youth empowerment and the introduction of series of reforms to reposition the state civil service.
He also pledged to run a transparent administration that will ensure prudent management of the state’s resources and finances which will be achieved by engaging persons of proven integrity as members of his cabinet and top ranking officials of the civil service.
The governor also promised to work closely with security agencies to bring a decisive end to armed banditry and kidnapping in the affected Local Government Areas and ensure the full mechanization of agriculture and the harnessing of value chains in food and livestock production.
Radda called for support and cooperation from the people and stakeholders in the state as the new administration works to fulfil its campaign promises.
