APC gubernatorial candidate loses six coordinators in Bauchi

About a week to tye 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria, defections from one political party to another are still being registered, making alignment and realignment necessary to fill the vacuums created and placement of defectors in their new found political spaces.

Recently, the campaign camp of the Bauchi State All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar recorded heavy casuality as six campaign coordinators of the  Campaign Council have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The defection came at a time when Bauchi governorship candidates have intensified campaign efforts to woo voter.

The chairman of the coordinators, Comrade Nasiru Khalid, disclosed the decision to dump the party  at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi, saying the progressive blueprint of the PDP led administration in Bauchi lured them to the party.

Comrade Nasiru Khalid said their unanimous decision to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) followed due consultation with their followers at the grassroots and promised that they will contribute immensely to the victory of the PDP in the state

He said the delegation will continue to mobilise and canvass votes for candidates under the platform of the PDP considering the party’s blueprint which according to him will be beneficial to citizenry.

Earlier, Bauchi State governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed said his administration has improved the living standard of citizens through massive empowerment despite the economic challenges, saying more dividends of democracy will be delivered if reelected.
