The campaign activities of Gov Nasir Idris of Kebbi State were boosted by the Kebbi State chairman of Kebbi PilgrimsKebbi Pilgrims Welfare
Agency supports Gov Idris with campaign vehicles Welfare Agency, Alhaji Musa Yaro Enabo through a donation of campaign vehicles.
Presenting the keys to the vehicles and motorcycles to the Governor at Government House, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji Enabo said the donation was aimed at complementing the Governor’s efforts during campaign activities, facilitating the movement of party stakeholders and addressing logistical challenges associated with political mobilisation.
He explained that the gesture was part of his contribution to strengthening democratic participation and supporting the party’s campaign activities, assuring that he would continue to provide support towards achieving the objective.
A statement by Ahmed Idris, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kebbi State Governor quoted Alhaji Enabo saying,
“Your Excellency, I have been making deliberate efforts and undertaking long-term plans to achieve this objective and contribute to strengthening democracy in the state,” he said.
According to the Chairman, the 225 motorcycles would be distributed among APC ward chairmen, while the vehicles would be allocated to key party stakeholders to enhance mobility and improve coordination during campaign activities.
Alhaji Enabo further clarified that the vehicles and motorcycles were procured through the support of the Governor and other individuals, dismissing allegations that pilgrims’ funds had been used to finance the donation.
“I was able to purchase all these vehicles and motorcycles through the support of the Governor and other individuals. Some people have alleged that pilgrims’ funds were used, but I wish to state categorically that the funds belonging to pilgrims remain intact and are properly accounted for,” he said.
Responding, Governor Nasir Idris expressed appreciation to the Chairman for the gesture, describing it as a demonstration of commitment and support for the party’s political activities.
The Governor encouraged other party stakeholders to emulate Alhaji Enabo’s spirit of dedication and contribute meaningfully to the collective efforts of the party.
He also urged the Chairman not to be distracted by criticism from political opponents, assuring him of his appreciation for his contributions to the development of Kebbi State.
“Those who criticise you should not distract you from your commitment and contributions to the state. Remain focused and do not allow the opposition or anyone seeking to discourage you to derail your efforts. You are a leader who has consistently contributed to the progress of Kebbi State,” the Governor said.
Highlights of the occasion included the presentation of Lexus jeeps to the Kebbi State APC Chairman and the party’s Kebbi Central Zonal Vice Chairman.
