Governor Sani of Kaduna State has unveiled Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models assembled by the Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (DPAN).
He commended the company for its continued investment in innovation, local vehicle assembly and the development of Nigeria’s industrial capacity and pledged Wider Support for DPAN
According to the governor, investments such as DPAN’s are critical to accelerating industrialisation, promoting technology transfer, creating employment opportunities and strengthening economic growth.
He reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s readiness to support credible private-sector investments capable of creating jobs and expanding the state’s industrial base.
Going beyond assurances, Governor Sani pledged to hand over the official land title documents to DPAN, while also promising to engage his fellow governors across the country to encourage broader government patronage and support for the automobile manufacturer.
The governor’s intervention is expected to further strengthen DPAN’s position in Nigeria’s automotive sector and deepen collaboration between the company and governments at both state and national levels.
The unveiling of the 2026 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models also underscores the growing push for locally assembled vehicles as Nigeria seeks to expand domestic manufacturing, reduce dependence on imported automobiles and create more opportunities within the automotive value chain.
